I came across this video thinking the person videoing this incident was a victim, but the more I watch it I think he is the one inciting road rage and actually side swiped the other car, rather than he himself getting hit. (Not trying to victim blame. The other guy is also crazy.)
It starts with him slowing down, almost stopping for no reason. It then continues with him driving erratically, then jerking left into a car. What do you guys think?
This is my perspective watching a few times, but would love to hear your thoughts. If you disagree with my assessment, that’s totally cool, just be respectful please.

I didn’t know Volvo owners could act like Bro truck owners.

I think the cammer is at fault but they’re both nuts.

Agreed. Cammer is going 2mph and doesn’t want to be passed.

I live by a town that has a ton of bro truck drivers. I feel like they’re multiplying... it’s scary as they really are insanely irrational and dangerous with their 2 ton vehicles.

The initial hesitation appears to be the driver trying to determine if the guy on the bike was going to cross or not.
After that, I’m not sure where exactly the horn is coming from. It might be from the Volvo driver who may not have been looking for crosswalk traffic, and decided to take the left lane when the camera car appeared to take the right lane. As the camera car started to veer out of the right lane, I think it was the Volvo’s horn that sounded.
After that, I can’t see any road markings, but they approach what appears to be an area wide enough area to accommodate left and right turn lanes, as well as a straight thru lane. The camera car suddenly moves left, presumably cutting off the Volvo driver, but the maneuver doesn’t actually seem to be from a desire to turn left. It really does look like he’s acting out against the Volvo driver.

Camera perspectives can be misleading, but it looks to me like the Volvo driver would of had to have 2 wheels over the curb to pass him where he did. Maybe he swerved trying to avoid the camera car, as that car was turning left? I think the Volvo driver was going to pass him or cut him off, and the camera car driver wasn’t paying attention/looking in the mirror before turning.

It looks like he was turning right, and stopped/slowed down for the biker, but he decided to go anyway. The Volvo behind him appears to be impatient and tried to swerve around him. Camera dude didn’t like the impatient Volvo driver, so he tried to block him from passing, and that’s when he got side-swiped. That’s my assessment.

That was my original assessment, but then he continues slow and swings his car into the Volvo. Again I could be wrong. Both are idiots though for sure.

Yea, it’s really hard to tell. It was two lanes and the camera car takes both of them. It kind of looks like the Volvo wanted to go left, but since there was a collision he continued forward to pull over. It’s really hard to tell though.

I can’t tell.
At first, it seems the camera car can’t figure out where the hell he’s going, and inches along before deciding to turn left. The Volvo, growing impatient, decides to blast past on the left.
That looks like a one lane (one in each direction) road, and the Volvo should have kept it in his pants and waited for camera car to figure out what the fuck he was going to do.
If it was a single lane, the Volvo had no right to try to pass the camera car, no matter if the camera car had its signal on or now.
But still, I can’t tell for sure.

Anytime someone uploads a video and disables comments/voting I assume they have something to hide. He was not 100% at fault, but he wasn’t 100% innocent either. Volvo driver was a scumbag assfuck though. He was overly aggressive, from the moment he raised his tailgate to hide his license plate, to approaching the cam car and reaching back inside the front door.

Looked like two lanes entering the area, that turns into three (one left, one straight, one right..excluding opposite direction lanes). I can’t figure out if the Volvo was trying to go around camera car or was legit trying to turn left until they were hit. Both are terrible humans at driving.

I was curious if the Volvo was going to take out a bat or a golf club. Anything can happen in Florida. ha
